When an owner of an 1800’s property in Stillwater, MN found themselves stuck with a yellow tub, fiberglass walls, and a lackluster vanity, they reached out to Nearby Handy Guy, LLC for a much-needed bathroom refresh. We removed the existing shower unit, ensured the floor was leveled, and squared up the walls. We then teamed up with a licensed plumber to install a new second floor tub correctly and according to code. With the plumbing handled, our team primed the walls for tile. The owner selected classic square tiles that harmonized well with the master suite. A unique touch was added to the project by transforming an antique buffet into a functional vanity, perfectly in sync with the overall vintage theme of the house. Existing sinks were repurposed to economize the project, and a gorgeous mosaic tile was chosen as the transition from the wooden floors to the bathtub.
